Welcome to our "Living a Part in God's Story" family blog. And, it is God's Story, in which we are just playing a part. Through our blog we want to keep our family and friends informed of the wonderful things that God is doing in our busy lives.
Shawna and I were high school sweethearts. We married in December of 1983. We attend Faith Promise Church. Shawna is a nurse with Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic. I am the Director of Safety and Human Resources for Pemberton Truck Lines, Inc. We love spending time with our kids and working together in various missions we support.
We have a 21 year old daughter named Ashley. She is a senior at the University of Tennessee and is a Salon Director for Sun Tan City. We have a 17 year old son named Matthew. He is a senior at Grace Christian Academy high school. He has a passion for baseball and is an outstanding player. He has committed to attend and play D1 college baseball at Tennessee Tech University. He has committed his life works to Ministry!
In September 2010 God blessed our family by laying it on our hearts to adopt two beautiful orphan girls from Haiti. In December of 2012, following a painstaking 27 month adoption process, Jesula and Redjina finally made the long awaited trip home to be a part of our family in America. They are truly gifts from God for which we are very thankful.
Thank you for following along with us on this journey. All mission work is a partnership. We ask you to support us in whatever way you can. There are people God equips to go and serve, and people He equips to help with prayers and finances. We greatly appreciate your prayers, encouragement, and financial support!
